Email Marketing Consultant

Email is one of the original digital marketing channels and, done well, it remains one of the most affordable and effective ways to communicate with your customers and potential customers.

You often hear people obsessing about algorithms, posting schedules and reach on social media. Getting your message into someone’s inbox provides a unique opportunity – a direct line between you and people that have actively chosen to hear from you. That kind of connection is hard to replicate anywhere else online.

In fact, email marketing delivers an ROI at least three times higher than social media, making it one of the strongest channels for lead nurturing, repeat business and long-term customer loyalty.

Whether you’re starting from scratch, want to automate your customer journey, or need a fresh pair of eyes on what’s not working, I can help with personalised, freelance support.

Why email marketing works

It Converts

Through engaging, informative and personalised emails, you can build loyalty to your brand in a very direct way. This increases the likelihood of repeat purchases in the short and long term.

It’s Targeted

Mailchimp research showed that emails to segmented lists had 100% higher click rate. Segmenting your database by purchase history or interests ensures your reader is more likely to be engaged.

It’s Automated

Automation allows you to communicate with your audience at different times of the buying journey, with no manual effort. From abandoned carts to welcome emails, automation can benefit any industry.

You Own It

You have total control over your database making it a highly valuable asset. Email is not at the mercy of algorithms and is completely measurable providing valuable insights into audience behaviour.

Email Marketing FAQ

Which email platform is best for small businesses?

It depends on your business, your budget and what you need the platform to do for you. I can talk you through the options based on my experience and what’s right for you, rather than a one-size-fits-all recommendation. I’ve also supported businesses migrate their list from one platform to another so if you’ve outgrown your current setup or it isn’t right for you, you’re never stuck.

Do I need a large list to get started with email marketing?

Not at all! Everyone starts from zero and remember, a small but engaged list is much better than thousands of subscribers who barely open or click on your emails. It’s important to build it the right way from the beginining though, and I can advise on the best approach for growing a list organically from scratch.

What's the difference between a newsletter and an automation?

A newsletter is a regular communication that you write, schedule or send to your subscribers that keeps them informed, entertained or up to date with your latest products and offers. An automation is a sequence of emails that you set up once and it runs automatically in the background. A typical example of an automation would be a welcome email when someone new joins your list, but also things like lead magnet delivery, post-purchase emails and re-engagement with lapsed subscribers.

How do I know if my email automations are working?

Your automations should have a goal. If someone downloads a lead magnet, are they going on to make a purchase? If someone gets a welcome email, do they visit your website? Your email platform will track open rates, click rates and conversions that will indicate if your email sequence is doing its job. If you don’t understand these statistics, this is exactly what an email marketing audit will deliver.

What happens after you've set everything up — can I manage it myself?

Yes you can, and I provide video walkthroughs tailored to your platform and your setup that you can refer back to whenener you need them. The goal is for you to feel confident managing things independently, or to have something to hand over to an assistant or Virtual Assistant.

Which email platforms do you work with?

I have dealt with a very wide range of platforms including Mailchimp, Mailerlite, Klaviyo, Campaign Monitor, Kajabi, Go High Level, Wix and Shopify. This means you’re not limited to a specific tool – i’ll work with the platform that suits your business, or I’ll help you choose if you’re not sure where to start.
