I help SMEs get found online by their ideal customers, whether they’re launching new services or enhancing an established brand.
Here’s a little bit about how I got here…
I’ve enjoyed a lot of variety in my career! My background combines working for major UK retailers with supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.
I began in-house at Sainsbury’s, which led to 14 years in branding, including agency-side roles for M&S and Aldi. Launching new products to tight deadlines taught me to blend creativity with commercial thinking (and keep a calm head under pressure) – something that’s stayed with me!
Having a young family led me to transition to freelancing, followed by a decade of marketing for small business owners while undertaking extensive training to become certified in SEO and advertising. Part of the joy of working with SMEs is seeing the immediate impact of my work. With stretched budgets, it’s even more important to focus on what brings the biggest results (and to explain it all with no fluff or jargon).
And what I do now…
I freelance for wide variety of businesses that want to build a long-term foundation for growth. I often collaborate within a team, so working alongside a client’s existing marketing manager or website developer.
My client base is small, so I can be truly accessible and a genuine partner in helping them achieve their objectives.
I also work part-time as a Marketing Manager for a not-for-profit that supports schools, where, among other things, I write about online safety for children. When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me spending time with my three boys or walking our much-loved Border Collie.
